This Web resource is designed for both students and educators. For my students, I hope that they can use this site to find out information about my classes and what they can expect to learn. I also provide plenty of additional educational material and links to other Web sites. I encourage you to explore them. For other educators, I hope they will find some of the resources I've placed here useful, perhaps in their own classes. I actively solicit submission of materials for this archive. The resources here are in HTML format, which isn't ideal, but it seems to be the best of a variety of bad choices since it is the one format that everyone can translate and print.
Here at TCU, we split our major undergraduate Astronomy courses into 2 different classes, Phys 2073 and 20083. Generally, I assign Chaisson and McMillan's "Astronomy Today" for the 20083 Introductory class. For 2073 (Solar System), an old favorite of mine is ``The Planetary System" by Morrison and Owen. A more advanced book, "Moons and Planets" by William Hartmann, is often made available as a recommended book for library use. I also typically assign additional reading materials for the classes, taken from the Web or current scientific literature. Some of these readings (or, at least, pointers to where they can be found) are on this site.
