Family members
have convinced me to have a special interest in exploring ways of integrating
technology and the WWW resource base into the instructional environment at the
university level. This has been a
very fortunate circumstance for me.
My wife (Lois) has become quite the expert
with several software packages. She designs business brochures, greeting cards
and all types of professional documents and message units by combining the
innovations within the software with her own special creativity to outstanding
"neat stuff!"
Also, my son (Scott) has been the lead developer for
both XMosaic
and HTTPd at the National Center for Supercomputing
Applications (NCSA) associated with the U.
of Illinois, has been a software engineer, cgi expert and wonderous builder
of development tools for Raindrop Geomagic.
He is currently webmaster deluxe for Concept
Keys, Inc. So, I admit to having a bit of a biased (yet gently informed)
view of the opportunities for education via the Internet/WWW systems of
information flow and containment.
