About HPC Extreme 2000 - Hot, stagnant air under the hood is a problem worsened by high exhaust temperatures and summertime heat. Don't be confused by the cheaper ceramic coatings offered by some. Ceramic heat coating material offers a maximum temperature rating of 1,200 degrees F, however, the single turbo exhaust manifold can regularly see temperatures in excess of 1,600 degrees F during normal operation. This results in discoloration of the coating, and eventual cracking and failure. Not to mention, the heat reduction capacity of Ceramic coating is almost not detectable at these temperatures. However, HPC 2000 Extreme offers a temperature rating in excess of 2,500 degrees F, while reducing surface temperatures by over 50%. This translates into a 100 degree drop in underhood temperatures and an average 5% increase in Horsepower! Unlike ceramic coatings, HPC 2000 Extreme was specifically designed for high boost turbo applications that involve very high surface temperatures. Applied inside and out on the exhaust manifold and turbo exhaust housing, the HPC 2000 material is warranted for three years against corrosion and/or cracking. The turbo downpipe is coated in HPC Hipercoat silver, for a polished appearance, and also carries a full three year warranty against failure. Leading CART, NASCAR, IMSA, and F-1 teams depend on the durability of the HPC 2000 Extreme coating process.
