Bo Mei, Ph.D.

Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas Christian University (TCU), specializing in artificial intelligence and machine learning. My research uses deep learning and neural networks to solve real-world image recognition problems, including traffic analysis from surveillance cameras and perception support for autonomous vehicles.

I also study how AI can support personalized computer science education, especially programming instruction that promotes student success and career readiness. I joined TCU in 2018 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2024.
