Shearer, Harry
- Man Bites Town
- This is a collection of columns from Shearer's former
brief stint as a weekend columnist for the L. A. Times. It
covers half local, half national issues in a sarcastic way,
much like Shearer's coverage of the O. J. Simpson trial
for Slate magazine back in 1996. Of course, while I found
the OJ stuff hilarious (especially the jury selection process),
this book was fairly humdrum. I found it in hardback for
two bucks in a record store, and that's about the right price.
