Griffin, John Howard
- Black Like Me
- This is a rather famous book from 1961 in which the
author described how he, a white man, changed his appearance
to that of a black man in the South. There have been plenty
of stories about the injustices minorities have to deal with,
but this one, viewed from an outsider's perspective, is perhaps
easier to understand from the point of view of one who has never
suffered from racism. Very short, very effective book. Hard to
find at bookstores (sometimes appears at used bookstores), but
this one will be in most libraries.
