    • Forgettable fantasy series about a wizard named Nevyn who, because of a centuries-past crime of passion, is doomed to live until the reincarnations of those who wronged finally are able to overcome their troubles. This time, of course, the reincarnations turn out to be members of the royal family, so even if Nevyn can solve their problems, there are other forces at work trying to screw things up again for their own purposes. The series goes on beyond the fourth book, but it really plods from the very start. I honestly can't remember now why I was masochistic enough to get through the first four books.
