Moorcock, Michael
- Series: Books of Corum
- The Swords Trilogy (6 r)
- The Chronicles of Corum (6 r)
- This is actually six typical Moorcock-length books
(typical length is extremely short) repackaged into two
affordable novels. Great fantasy pulp with the ever-
present Moorcock theme of the trials and tribulations
of the Eternal Champion and his Rambo-fantasy-like
approach to combat.
- Series: Elric
- Elric of Melnibone (7 r)
- The Sailor on the Seas of Fate (6 r)
- The Weird of the White Wolf (6 r)
- The Vanishing Tower (5 r)
- The Bane of the Black Sword (6 r)
- Stormbringer (7 r)
- Popular series about an skinny but incredibly powerful
albino man with the Sword from Hell. Similar to the
Morganti weapons in Brust's world (though Brust came
after Moorcock, it should be noted), Elric's sword pretty
much does all the fighting itself and drinks in the souls
of those it touches. Basically, it is pulp packaged in
an expensive way (six short books), but still a classic,
if you like the cut-above-Conan genre.
