Cook, Robin
- Mutation (3)
- Cook writes thrillers in the same genre as Crichton and
the comparison between the two authors is won hands down by
Michael Crichton. Here, Cook writes about a child prodigy, the
result of a geneticist's experiment with his own son. Somehow,
the parents have no idea that their son, rather than attending
elementary school, has designed a Nobel-prize-worthy genetic
experiment in a multi-million dollar lab full of stolen equipment
not 500 yards from where his father works every day. Not only
that, he runs a drug cartel and, well, you get the idea...
I could suspend disbelief for a good story or good technical
style. Cook delivers neither.
