This beautiful, oversized hardback is probably virtually
unfindable in bookstores since it is well over 15 years old.
Still, it is the book that Mom kept around the house that I
discovered in my early years that first got me hooked on Astronomy.
Some really breathtaking pictures. It is worth having one on your
shelf for your own kids someday.
A postscript to this review: I got an email from Mr. Gallant
in March 1997, and he informed me that his great book is now
in its third edition and well up to date! I may have to go
track that down myself if only for a gift to my niece.
