Reid, Robert
- Year One
- I hadn't heard of this book until I found it on a discount
shelf at a bookstore. I love reading about college experiences
from other perspectives (being an instructor of Physics and Astronomy
at TCU myself), so I decided to give this a try. This is the
diary of a student's first year at Harvard Business School.
Very readable, especially the first half. The second half gets
a little bogged down in details, and I think the tone reflects
the author's lessening sense of wonder and fascination (and
the setting in of cynicism). Anyway, I really liked it and
would recommend it to any business student, regardless of where
they're planning to go for their MBA.
