  • For a minister/author, this guy spends more time in this book exploring the thoughts of a character fantasizing about sex than any author I've ever seen (short of, say, Piers Anthony). Utterly forgettable story about an Irish guy who is working as a sort of secret agent for an orbiting church/ship trying to find a planet suitable to colonize. That's not a great summary, but this is not a great book, so I don't care. Next time they're burning books down at the local Moral Minority headquarters, sneak off with a copy of "Huck Finn" and put this book in its place.
