Gibson, William
- Series: "The Cyberpunk Series"
- Neuromancer (6 r)
- Count Zero (4 r)
- Mona Lisa Overdrive (3 r)
- Burning Chrome (3 r)
- Ok, yes, these were breakthrough novels for the genre,
but let's be honest...were they well-written? I didn't
really think so, but I may not have been patient enough to
get everything that was going on. I intend to go back
someday and re-read these, but right now, I still don't
understand what all the fuss was about.
- The Difference Engine (with Bruce Sterling) (6 r)
- Interesting alternate history set in late 19th century England
about what life would have been life had computers caught on 50
years before they actually did. Shades of "1984" here in the use
of information as a method of control and power. Pretty good story
and characters.
