Bryson, Bill
- Notes from a Small Island
- In this "travel" book, Bryson summarizes his recent six-week
tour of Great Britain. Seen mostly on foot and from a decidedly
non-tourist approach, Bryson's account of Britain
often reminds one of Douglas Adams
had he decided to concentrate on this genre instead of SF. Bryson
makes consistently funny, consistently accurate observations of
life in Britain, and he's well worth reading.
