• The People vs Big Tobacco (with Adam Levy, Joseph Menn and Jeffrey Rothfeder)

  • This is a journalistic documentary of the lawsuit by various states against the seven big tobacco companies, sparked by a series of events (the famous image of the CEO's swearing before Congress that nicotine is not addictive, followed by Jeffrey Wigand's famous whistleblower testimony). It is packed with a lot of very interesting details, and it forms a cohesive and readable narrative. If you've seen and enjoyed the incredible movie "The Insider", then you will appreciate the details this book has to offer even more. There is a lot of neat perspective on class-action lawsuits, too. This is very much like a true-to-life Grisham novel, in many respects (the good ones).
