  • Ken Levine is a former writer for the TV show Cheers, and he has also announced for the Baltimore Orioles with ESPN's own Jon Miller. He then spent two seasons as my favorite baseball announcer (second to Dave Niehaus) for the Seattle Mariners. His book recalls his experiences becoming an announcer and some of the funny stories from his first few seasons, and it is well worth reading. Levine now broadcasts for the Padres, and I miss him!
