Lewis, Michael
- Trail Fever
- One of my favorite writers for the magazine
The New Republic has written
a campaign journal for the 1996 primaries that is hilarious,
important and incredibly good. Lewis follows around some of
the fringe candidates, like Pat Buchanan and Alan Keyes (and
wonders why more Republicans don't support these outstanding
speakers whose views most closely resemble those of most
Republicans), and he writes about how the candidates abuse
and manipulate the journalists who try to cover them.
