    • Very long three-book series about a fantasy world where two kinds of magic exist (Sun-based and star-based). Fairly interesting magic system, and quite a bit of decent political intrigue. The first book is more like a romance novel than any fantasy book I've read, but the rest get more into line with the genre. Very readable.

  • Skybowl (6)

    • The second generation of characters from the first series, only this time both sides of the warring races are much more powerful (the Sunrunners because of new and dangerous ways to work magic, the Star-Sorcerers because of a huge invasion force from another unheard of land). Manages to avoid the "Belgariad/Malloreon" syndrome of repeating the same situations. Definitely worth reading if you liked the first series.
