Ashley Aikman

(Game face) is a senior Movement Science major and English minor. She has been a member of Texas Christian University’s Women’s Equestrian team for four years and is the current team captain. She enjoys writing about all kinds of sports and athletes. Aikman plans to attend Physical Therapy school at Texas State University following graduation.

 

Brennen Anderson

(Never tell me the odds) My name is Brennen Anderson. I started life in Arkansas where my dad worked at the Walmart headquarters in Bentonville. My family moved to Texas when I was nine. Except one brief foray into the Air Force Academy, I have been in Texas since. I now attend Texas Christian University.

 

Jeni Bell

(What the frack?) grew up in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and moved to Fort Worth to attend TCU. She is an Advertising and Public Relations major with a minor in Political Science. During her time at TCU Jeni lived and interned in Washington, D.C. and studied abroad in London. After graduation she hopes to move to Denver to pursue a career in non-profit public relations.

 

Jason Carley

(The modern Renaissance poet) is a senior film major and writing minor at Texas Christian University. His fiction has been published in eleven40seven and he is credited as head writer for the TCU reality series, Top Grad.  Jason plans to pursue a career as a Hollywood screenwriter upon graduation.

 

Spenser Davis

(Sports loyalty and the global community) is a senior Writing and Film double major and Classical Studies minor. He enjoys reading and writing everything from essays to fiction to poetry, having had two poems published in the TCU student literary journal, 1147. He is also a soccer fanatic and passionate supporter of Liverpool Football Club.

 

Peter Hutcheson

(The life and times of Greg Mansur) is a senior Film-Television-Digital Media (FTDM) Major and English Minor from Houston, Texas who is hoping to pursue a career in the TV and/or Film industry.

 

Katie Kennedy

(A birdie told me) is a junior English Major and Psychology minor.  If she could, she would major in everything and be a professional student.  In her free time, she likes reading, writing, dancing, singing, and eating (especially eating).  After college, Katie is hoping to attend Grad school in either Austin or Chicago, and then become an editor at a publishing house.  Some of her favorite things are the Texas Rangers, people who can do card tricks, all things Disney, and pretty much anything that glows in the dark.

 

Cole Konopka

(Born in Italy, made in Fort Worth) is a senior Environmental Science and Writing double major from Houston, Texas. When he is not praying for his hometown Astros to pull out victories, he is busy contemplating his future. As an avid outdoorsman, he spends his holidays and long weekends at Big Bend National Park. He is thinking about attending law school, but also thinking about moving to Europe. Needless to say, he is thinking.

 

Becca Lauten

(The essence of Becky Long) I am graduating in May 2011 with a Strategic Communication degree.  I’m looking for my big girl job in the “ad world”. I combine Dr. Pepper and Diet Coke anywhere if there aren't too many people around to judge me. My dream is for one of my kids to become an E-Trade baby.

 

Lauren Lehtonen

(Homilies) currently attends Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.  She is currently working on a bachelor’s degree in writing and pursuing both a Japanese and art minor.  She enjoys the creative aspect of writing.  After her graduation in May 2012, she hopes to move back to her hometown of Austin, Texas to attend the University of Texas for graduate school. 

 

Shannon Listorti

(Underpaid upperclassmen) is a junior Strategic Communications student at Texas Christian University from Plano, Texas. She specializes in writing press releases and media alerts and has interned for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Crimson Marketing and Public Relations. Currently, Shannon is an active executive member in Public Relations Student Society of America. She is graduating in December to pursue a public relations career in Dallas.

 

Grace Palmer

(Keep your eye on the ball) is currently an English major and Writing minor at Texas Christian University and plans to attend graduate school after completing her bachelor’s degree.  She loves reading Victorian literature, writing creative nonfiction, and doing just about anything (especially if it involves eating, cooking or being outside).

 

Sarah Richardson

(The man behind the microphone) is a Writing Major and Film, Television, and Digital Media Minor at Texas Christian University.  She is from Fort Worth, TX and will graduate in May 2011.  Sarah loves to cheer for her TCU Horned Frogs in college football and her Dallas Mavericks in the NBA.  She enjoys listening to all sorts of music and watching any kind of movie.  Traveling is her greatest passion and hopes to use her adventures in her writing. 

 

John Roberts

(The silencing of the minds) is a writer who has published both short stories and poetry in the Marine Creek Reflections and Eleven40Seven creative writing journals. He loves addressing challenging or controversial topics and how they effect our world. He is a junior writing major at Texas Christian University and lives in Aurora, Texas.

 

Mallory Tarp

(Cupcake craze) is a strategic communications major and social work minor from Norman, Oklahoma. With a love for helping others she hopes to pursue a career with a non-profit organization. Outside of school Mallory leads a Bible study for high school girls through K-Life ministries. She loves any excuse to plan a party and meet new people.

 

Katie Walker

(An uncommon afterlife) is a junior Writing major and Studio Art minor from Memphis, Tennessee. Her “dream job” changes by the day, but as of this morning she plans to pursue a career in publishing, design, art therapy, or academia after graduation.
