Teaching Philosophy
My teaching emphasizes hands-on, project-based learning. I believe students learn best when they apply concepts to real-world problems. In my GIS and cartography courses, students work with actual datasets to create meaningful visualizations. In my economic geography courses, students analyze contemporary issues affecting communities and industries.
I also integrate experiential learning by partnering with local organizations for consulting projects, giving students the opportunity to apply their skills in professional settings.
